CCI Canadian Circuits adds Schmoll Maschinen Routing Machine LIN-2 to its machine line up

Surrey, BC Jan 23, 2023 – CCI Canadian Circuits Inc., the leading manufacturer of printed circuit boards in North America, announced addition of a new high-precision Schmoll LIN2-CCD routing and drilling combo machine to their machine line-up.

With the addition of this third Schmoll machine, CCI Canadian Circuits is closer to Industry 4.0 as this new CNC machine automates many processes of manufacturing, creating a “smart” facility. These CNC machines can communicate with each other and share data, which results in quicker turnaround times and savings on costs. Moreover, the real-time data from the processes could be analyzed to improve the processes.

One of the main highlights of the Schmoll Maschinen Routing -LIN2 is its flexibility with two stations for individual drilling and routing demands. The new machine will add more power to the Canadian Circuits’ team to drilling and routing capabilities. With camera alignment capability, this state-of-the-art Routing machine will allow the company to rout features to +/- 1 mil accuracy. It will also allow accurate control depth routing to +/- 0.4 mils with or without conductive. This new machine will allow us to increase capacity in our manufacturing, as well as allow us to rout increasingly tighter features and tolerances.

The main highlights of the machine are as follows:

• The LIN-2 is a two-station machine configured in this case to be a drilling or routing machine.
• The DR-130 driller/router spindles are capable of speeds ranging from 20,000 – 125,000 RPM
• The machine has linear motors in X & Y with a servo motor and leadscrew in Z to add extra stiffness to the Z-axis for routing work.
• The depth control feature of the 2^nd Measuring system allows depth-controlled drilling and routing, with or without a conductive surface.
• The in-built vision system enhances CCI capability to achieve precision drilling or routing.
