RoHS & Lead Free PCB's

CCI Canadian Circuits Inc. continues to successfully manufacture printed circuit boards that fully comply and meet the RoHS restrictions.

What does RoHS stand for?

RoHS stands for Restriction of Hazardous Substances. RoHS, also known as Directive 2002/95/EC, originated in the European Union and restricts the use of specific hazardous materials found in electrical and electronic products.

Restricted substances under the RoHS directive include:

  • Lead (Pb)

  • Mercury (Hg)

  • Cadmium (Cd)

  • Hexavalent chromium (CrVI)

  • Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB)

  • Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE)

What is RoHS Compliant?

Any business that sells applicable electrical or electronic products, components, or sub-assemblies directly to RoHS countries, or sells to resellers or distributors, who in turn sell products to these countries, will not be compliant if they use any of the above mentioned restricted materials.

CCI Canadian Circuits Inc. offers PCB Laminates and solder masks that comply completely with the RoHS restrictions. We work with each customer individually, to make sure that we comply with their particular RoHS requirements.
